This blog will be migrating!

Once upon a time, I decided that I wanted to go into InfoSec instead of Web Development.

I started a blog on Blogspot, under my real name, and then quickly abandoned it. However, Google SEO Rankings did not, and when you search for ‘Dwayne Linde’, it’s the third listing. I’m *above* a professional footballer, with the same name, from the country of Guyana. (Hey, Dwayne!)

This blog isn’t tracking at all on SEO rankings. So, I’m going to migrate all of my entries to http://linde-sec.blogspot.com/, and then updating that blog instead of this one. Because I want the SEO hits. And, coincidentally, it’s the initials of my given name as well!

Found a non-accordion vertical menu.

HTML:

<div>
<ul>
<li><a href=”#”>Menu 1</a>
<ul>
<li><a href=”#”>Sub menu 1</a></li>
<li><a href=”#”>Sub menu 2</a></li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><a href=”#”>Menu 2</a>
<ul>
<li><a href=”#”>Sub menu 1</a></li>
<li><a href=”#”>Sub menu 2</a></li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><a href=”#”>Menu 3</a>
<ul>
<li><a href=”#”>Sub menu 1</a></li>
<li><a href=”#”>Sub menu 2</a></li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><a href=”#”>Menu 4</a>
<ul>
<li><a href=”#”>Sub menu 1</a></li>
<li><a href=”#”>Sub menu 2</a></li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
<div>

CSS:

*{
padding: 0px;
margin: 0px;
}

li{
list-style: none;
}

li a{
text-decoration: none;
height: 26px;
display: inline-block;
}

li ul{
display: none;
}

li li a{
margin-left: 10px;
}

JAVASCRIPT:

$(document).ready(function(){
$(‘li’).click(function(){
$(this).children(‘ul’).toggle();
});
});

Answer.

Answer – do the front end first.

It’ll be a lot easier to fit the PHP into already establish HTML/CSS/JS/JQuery, then it will be to bend the other 4 elements around the PHP. Plus the code should be simple. I just need a menu where all elements are expandable and collapsable; not as an accordion, but all of them independently of each other. Including all of them expanded.
